In this presentation, researchers look at the Agile BioFoundry, a DOE Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) project aimed at enabling biorefineries to achieve a 50% reduction in bioprocess scale-up time. The project has a history spanning multiple years, with strategic planning for FY23-25 occurring in June 2022, including a review of past lessons. The current project started in October 2022 and will run until September 2025, with $15M in DOE funding for FY23. End-of-project milestones include transferring strains and bioprocesses for sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and biochemicals to industry. ABF has a substantial record of publications and presentations and intellectual property assets.
