Texas Legislature mulls expansion of EV charging stations statewide

In Texas, Dallas Innovates reported that two bills in the Texas Legislature could help spur expansion of EV stations statewide. Senate Bill 1002 offers guidelines for how EV charging stations would be funded and built, while Senate Bill 1001 lays down how they would be registered with the state and be subject to inspections, according to the report. Currently there are only 329 EV fast-charging stations across Texas. The report also noted that around $400 million in federal funding for EV charging infrastructure is heading to Texas through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
