Tesla reopens Giga Texas and resumes Model Y production

In Texas, Tesla Oracle reported that Tesla’s Gigafactory in Austin, Texas resumed production of the Model Y EV after almost a 1 month closure for upgrades.

As Tesla put a halt to Model Y production at Giga Texas and employees were given off for weeks, the company removed the base variant of the Model Y from its online car configurator, according to the report.

Although employees returned to work, they need to get acquainted with the re-tooled and upgraded Model Y production lines, the report added.
