Sunflower Solar to host informative session about solar project in Mississippi

In Mississippi, WKRG reported that representatives from Sunflower Solar, LLC and parent company Pine Gate Renewables will host a drop-in informational session at the George County Senior Citizens Building on February 23 to provide information on a solar farm planned in the Rocky Creek community. The company will sell electricity produced from the solar panels to electric companies in the area, according to the report. “The Sunflower Solar project will serve as a reliable, cost-competitive source of renewable energy for Mississippi customers and the surrounding community for over 40 years of useful life,” said Piper Miller, Pine Gate’s vice president of market development. The report also noted that the solar project is expected to require an investment of $113 million. Pine Gate operates 85 solar projects across the U.S.
