Santa Fe lawmaker proposes reconversion of local YPF’s refinery into SAF plant

In Argentina, AviacionLine reported that Santa Fe Province lawmaker Joaquín Blanco has promoted a bill in the Chamber of Deputies of Santa Fe to reactivate the San Lorenzo YPF Refinery, transforming it into a sustainable aviation fuel plant. “Recovering this place that has been abandoned for six years is key to promoting national development from the local level,” the lawmaker said. The legislator stressed that “Santa Fe is a pioneer in the generation of biofuels” and believes that this reconversion would be a unique opportunity to position the province as a leader in sustainability within the aeronautical sector.
