Raízen looking to liquidate the ethanol plants associated with Cosan

In Brazil, NovaCana reports Raízen intends to sell all the assets that are necessary to shut down the Cosan group, according to sources who told O Globo newspaper. According to the investigation, the CEO wants to get rid of the refinery and the Raízen stations in Argentina – which has been previously reported in a Bloomberg report – of the sugar and ethanol plants of Raízen in Mato Grosso do Sul; and the terminal in the port of São Luís (MA). Currently, Raízen has three plants in Mato Grosso do Sul, one in the municipality of Caarapó and two in Rio Brilhante.
