Over 5,000 used solar panels to be given away in Orange County

In Florida, Clickorlando.com reported that over 5,000 used solar panels will be given away as part of the “The Great Solar Giveaway.¨Officials from Ideas For Us, a nonprofit organization, said they are helping to give away the more than 5,000 panels that will be available. The aim is to keep the panels out of the landfill and into use across Central Florida, according to the release. “An Orlando group is switching out their useful, older solar panels and we want to keep as many of them out of the landfill as possible and that is where you come in!”, the report added. Officials said the used panels were from “a local project,” but did not provide additional details. Interested people can pick up the panels through March 31, according to the report.
