Louisiana Clean Fuels works with businesses to find best renewable fuel options
In Louisiana, WAFB9 reported that Louisiana Clean Fuels is actively working with businesses as they continue to raise awareness around renewable fuels. The entity has a contract with the Department of Energy and Natural Resources and is also funded by donations, according to the report. Executive Director Ann Vail said they have worked with fleets across Louisiana for public services and waste management. There are natural gas and trash trucks that are now looking to make their trash trucks electric. They have also worked with school districts that have added propane and electric buses to their fleets as well, the report added. “We help them figure out a solution that works best for them,” said Ann Vail with Louisiana Clean Fuels. “It might be electric vehicles. It might be a hybrid vehicle. It might be natural gas. It might be idle reduction technologies. So it depends on what their goals are what they want to do and their budget.”
