Itochu to supply renewable energy to Meta from Texas-based wind farm

In Japan, Reuters reported that Japanese trading house Itochu Corp has reached an agreement to supply wind-generated power to Meta Platforms in the United States. Under the terms of the deal, Itochu would supply wind power to Meta from the Texas-based Prairie Switch wind project. The Prairie Switch wind project, which will be commercially launched by the end of this year, is expected to have capacity of 160 megawatts. The project will be comprised of 48 wind turbines with a generating capacity of 3.4 MW each.
