Ethanol production increases slightly but stocks still tighten

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production rose slightly to 1.047 million barrels per day last week, but even so, stocks fell 35,000 barrels on the week to 20.954 million barrels. Ethanol exports fell slightly more than production increased to an average of 85,000 barrels a day. Analysis from Iowa State University’s Center for Agricultural and Rural Development says that crush margins remain positive but they have dropped from the 2023 highs.
