Cleco announces rebates for EV chargers in Louisiana
In Louisiana, Louisiana Radio Network reported that Cleco customers can receive rebates for the purchase and installation of electric vehicle chargers.
The company noted that the rebates are for both commercial and residential customers. The residential rebates are for Level 2 EV chargers. Rebates for commercial customers range from $1,000 to $3,500.
Richard Biedenharn, manager of the company’s EV Program said a Level 2 EV charger and any type of application that’s in a multifamily facility, workplace, or a publicly accessible charger is eligible for a $1,000 rebate.
“We also have a $3,500 incentive for DC fast chargers and there’s also an electric forklift incentive for those customers of ours who use lifts,” said Biedenharn.
Cleco Power, that serves approximately 290,000 retail customers in Louisiana.
