Brazilian E30 trials successful
In Brazil, Reuters reports that the minister of mines and energy believes that by boosting ethanol blending with gasoline to 30% would make the country self-sufficient in gasoline for the first time since 2010. The ministry has been undergoing tests to see how E30 would behave in gasoline engines compared to the 27% currently blended, with results showing consistent performance together with environmental benefits. With results in hand, the ministry will now take the proposal to the National Energy Policy Council some time this year.
