Alden Group to open new facility in Mississippi

In Mississippi, the Mississippi Development Authority said that Alden Group Renewable Energy is opening a new facility in Smith County, Mississippi.

The project will require an investment of $12.5 million investment and will create 30 new jobs.

Alden Group works with area poultry processors to transform waste products into a dry matter that is then sold to refineries to make biodiesel.

The Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance for road improvements, while Smith County also is assisting with the project.
