Soybean harvest in Argentina to reach 47 million tons, ACSOJA said
In Argentina, Infobae reported that the current soybean crop in the country will reach between 47-48 million tons, according to Rodolfo Rossi, head of the Argentine Soybean Chain Association (ACSOJA).
“The very good rainfall in recent weeks throughout the central region has allowed us to recover some of the pre-planting projections,” he said.
Regarding the initial harvest projections of 54 million tons, he indicated that they have been adjusted downward due to expected losses in some more distant regions due to adverse weather conditions. Despite this, Rossi remains “optimistic” about the final soybean harvest volume for the 2024/25 season, as between 70% and 75% of the crops nationwide are in optimal condition.
