Mississippi lawmakers approve incentives for $2billion EV battery facility

In Mississippi, WAPT reported that Mississippi lawmakers approved incentives for a $1.9 billion factory that will manufacture electric vehicle batteries. The factory will be built by a JV between Accelera by Cummins, Daimler Trucks & Buses and PACCAR. Governor Tate Reeves called a special session last week seeking $350 million in tax dollars for the factory. The House approved the bill in a 117-2 vote. The Senate also approved it during the special session.
